In Polluted China, Tianjin City Takes One For The Team
China has always had a strong communal history; and its government never tires of telling the people to act for the benefit of all - for the greater good. These days, however, China demands that even its cities work for the greater benefit: as Beijing struggles to clear its polluted skies before the Olympics, the nearby industrial city of Tianjin is suspending work in 40 factories as part of a broader effort to improve air quality in the host city.
